Hapag-Lloyd said last week that it will increase rates effective 1 September 2013 for all cargoes and all container types from East Asia (excluding Japan) to the Indian subcontinent by US$ 200 per TEU. The Indian subcontinent is defined as being the ports in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and India.
