Hayleys Advantis honours high flyers at awards gala

Top performers among the staff of the subsidiaries and shared services units of Hayleys Advantis Limited, the transportation and logistics arm of the Hayleys Group were honoured recently at a gala awards night at Waters Edge.

A dozen individual awards and eight team awards were presented at the event under seven awards categories – service excellence; innovative ideas; significant contributions to environment, health and safety; leadership; team spirit; success stories and other achievements.

Candidates for the awards, based on adherence to three Advantis values, passion to deliver ‘beyond’ consistently, honour and integrity and openness and trust were evaluated by a five-member independent panel of judges.

Speaking at the event, Hayleys Chairman Mohan Pandithage said, “As someone who was a part of Advantis since its inception, I am proud to see how far Advantis has come today and I am delighted to be here sharing the true spirit of Advantis with you all.”

Hayleys Advantis Managing Director Ruwan Waidyaratne said, “I believe in Advantis, and I believe in its people. You are the reason that Advantis shines bright today, and we are all gathered here to recognise those who have made significant contributions to make our journey magnificent.”

“My basic direction for us is to be good businessmen and good businesswomen with a strong sense of values; nothing more and certainly nothing less.”

Individual award winners at the event were Nishantha Liyanage    of MIT Cargo (Pvt.) Ltd. for Service Excellence; Hannagala Sameera of Logiwiz Limited, Prasad Katulanda of Logiventures (Pvt.) Ltd., and Mahesh Abeysekera of Hayleys Advantis – Group Information Systems Division for Innovative Ideas; Damith Rathnayake of Logiwiz Limited for Significant Contributions to Environment, Health and Safety; Vishvanath Daluwatte of Hayleys Advantis – NLL and Chaminda Dissanayake of Logiwiz Limited for Leadership; Indima Wijerathne of Hayleys Advantis – ALL, Sisira Kumara of Hayleys Advantis – NLL and Thilina Abeywardane of Logiwiz Limited for Team Spirit; Pasan Periyapperuma of Hayleys Advantis – CLL and Chandima Perera of Logiwiz Limited for Other Achievements.

Team awards were won by the Logistics Products Division of Logiventures (Pvt.) Ltd., and Aneeca Amath and Neomi Wijesinghe of Hayleys Advantis – Group Human Resources Division for Service Excellence; the Go Green Team of MIT Cargo (Pvt.) Ltd., for Significant Contributions to Environment, Health and Safety; the Customer Service Department of Hayleys Advantis – NLL, Logiwiz Limited team at Airtel (Sapugaskanda) and Prasad Gunawardena and Daskon Priyanama of Hayleys Advantis – CLL for Team Spirit;  Team CLL of Hayleys Advantis – CLL and the Logiwiz Limited team for Unilever MORPH for Success Stories.

The five member panel of judges was headed by Postgraduate Institute of Management – Sri Lanka Senior Management Consultant Dr. Travis Perera and included University of Colombo Head of the Human Resources Department of the Faculty of Management and Finance Dr. Pavithra Kailasapathy,  Hayleys Head of the BPO and Shared Services Sector Dr. Arul Sivagananathan and Hayleys Business Solutions International (Pvt) Ltd. and Hayleys Agriculture Holdings Limited Managing Director Rizvi Zaheed and Hayleys Head of the Group Human Resource Services Sunil Dissanayake.
