Hellmann Worldwide Logistics (Pvt) Ltd., through its specialised global industry vertical Hellmann Automotive Logistics, in partnership with Edirisinghe Transport Services Ltd., pioneers in transportation, successfully completed the first-ever delivery of the consignment of the first batch of vehicles which arrived at Magam Ruhunupura Mahinda Rajapaksa Port in Hambantota on board vessel K-Line – Frisia, which arrived from Kobe, Japan.
This inaugural delivery was made on behalf of Hellmann’s valued customer Uni Walkers Automobiles Ltd., which is a subsidiary of Softlogic Holdings Plc. Hellmann said it sincerely appreciated Uni Walkers’ trust and confidence placed in its service levels.
Hellmann officials commented that operation out of MRMR Port was a smooth flow and they were able to provide the same day delivery due the hassle free and efficiencies at the MRMR Port.
Hellmann also expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Port and Highways, Deputy Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardana, SLPA Chairman Dr. Priyath Bandu Wickrama, Managing Director Capt. Nihal Keppetipola, the team at the Car Pier at Hambantota, Director General of Customs Dr. Neville Goonewardena and his team at the Motor Vehicle Department of the Customs as well as the team at Hambantota, the management and staff at Uni Walkers Automobiles and Califolink and its business partners who made this an enormous success. Edirisinghe Transport Services and its management team were also recognised for continuous support.
Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, which is a joint venture with Hellmann GMBH and Hemas Holdings, will continue to facilitate the service requirements of all stakeholders in the automotive industry of Sri Lanka whilst pledging continuous support to the Ports Authority in its future plans.
