Japan Airlines (JAL) has introduced a newly-painted Boeing 777-200 aircraft named JAL Eco Jet Nature. The JAL Eco Jet Nature is specially decorated with logos of various environmental projects that the JAL Group supports, which include the United Nations Decade on Biodiversity, Sanriku Reconstruction National Park Initiative, and Tohoku Cotton Project.

Carrying logos of the various environmental projects is JAL’s way of raising awareness and highlighting environmental conservation efforts through its daily operations as an airline, as well as implementing innovative educational activities. From 13 October to 30 November, JAL will also be distributing a packet of Eco Seeds of the spring flower Swamp Chrysanthemum (Leucanthemum paludosum) to all passengers onboard JAL Eco Jet Nature flights in an effort to encourage the joys of planting and making the world a greener place. The JAL Eco Jet Nature currently flies mainly between Tokyo (Haneda) and Fukuoka, Osaka (Itami) and Sapporo.
