In terms of making changes, they don’t come any bigger or more significant for an international airline than the introduction of a new booking, ticketing and reservation system. Kuwait Airways, the national carrier of the State of Kuwait will be introducing the complete customised program of data transfers, testing and migration over to the industry-leading Amadeus Altéa Suite Reservations System.

The Amadeus Altéa Suite is a comprehensive Passenger Service System (PSS) offering full reservation, inventory and departure control capabilities, all of which combines to provide a customised and integrated solution that will help Kuwait Airways maximise bookings and revenue growth across multiple distribution channels. Simply, Kuwait Airways customers can look forward to a superior booking and travel experience with the official national carrier of Kuwait, in all areas relating to airline and non-airline content.

Amadeus Altéa Suite will enable Kuwait Airways to enhance the ease by which the passengers interact with the airline through tailored solutions for each customer. It will also optimise revenue via sophisticated inventory and schedule management technology that can provide valuable market performance indicators and customer insights. According to Kuwait Airways, the program’s implementation timeline has been divided into two phases, the first of which commenced in the last quarter of last year.

A higher official at Kuwait Airways said: “Passenger service systems are critical to the smooth running of any airline and with the increasing demands placed on the airline business today, we carefully reviewed a number of industry leading vendors to help take Kuwait Airways to the next level.” “We are, therefore, confident that Amadeus offers the best solution for Kuwait Airways. That is to say, Amadeus offers a combination of the high level of technical expertise, to effectively migrate such systems, while ensuring a low-risk implementation process.”

The result of this reservation system change will greatly enhance the speed and efficiency of which Kuwait Airways can interact with our passengers, business partners and the aviation industry as a whole. There will be real and tangible benefits, and Kuwait Airways is confident that both the migration and implementation will establish a strong foundation from which Kuwait Airways can base its vision to become the preferred airline linking Kuwait to the world.
