The library ship MV Logos Hope is currently (28.04.2011) accommodated in Colombo Dockyard’s 30,000 DWT dry-dock No. 01. The LOA 132.5 metre/BEAM 21.06 metre 1973 built passenger vessel is owned by GBA Ships e.v, Germany. It is undergoing routine dry-docking related repairs during this call and repairs are expected to be completed this week, before it sails out to its next destination.

Colombo Dockyard has been the preferred repair yard for the owners, as MV. Dulos also owned by same owners was dry-docked in Colombo during a visit to Sri Lanka in 2005. Dulos was at that time one of the oldest operating vessels in the world, built in 1914.
