Budget carrier Mihin Lanka over the weekend received an Airbus A321 as part of an expansion of its operations.
The aircraft airbus piloted by Captain Pujith Jayakody reached Colombo from Paris via Dubai. It is the third aircraft of Mihin.
The Airbus A321, capable of carrying 210 passengers, will be deployed for Mihin’s planned services to Bahrain, Kathmandu, New Delhi and Madurai. From 1 September Mihin will start five times a week service to Bahrain.
At present Mihin flies to Buddhagaya, Dubai, Dhaka, Jakarta, Varanasi, Tiruchirapalli, Sharjah, and Jakarta.
To receive the aircraft Mihin Lanka and SriLankan Airlines CEO Kapila Chandrasena and other officials were present.
Mihin Lanka commenced its operations on 24 April 2007.
