Mv. MARINE RELIANCE makes inaugural port call at Hambantota Port

The Vice Chairman of SLPA, Capt. Asitha Wijesekara presents a plaque to the master of the vessel Capt. Albert B. Abainza to mark the inaugural call of Mv. MARINE RELIANCE at Hambantota. Director (Operations) SLPA D. Upali De Zoysa is also in the picture. Chairman Marine International Agencies Ltd. Dushmantha Karannagoda, Managing Director –Ananda Ranasinghe and the line representative are also in the picture SEALS Co. Ltd of Japan extended its Liner RO/RO service to Sri Lanka with its inaugural port call made by Mv. MARINE RELIANCE at Hambantota Port much recently. The service is to be continued with a monthly call at Hambantota to discharge local and transhipment vehicles. The local agent for SEALS Co. Ltd. M/s Marine International Agencies, together with their principals, had also arranged a ceremony on board the ship to mark the occasion of its first port call at Hambantota and exchanged plaques with officials from the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA). SLPA Vice Chairman, Capt. Asitha Wijesekara, together with senior SLPA officials attended the ceremony.
