Oman Air signs with Airbus for A330 cabin upgrades

Oman Air has signed an agreement with Airbus to upgrade the cabins of its A330s. This interior modernisation will harmonise the airline’s business class cabins across its long range fleet and ensure the latest standards in its in-service A330s.The retrofit embodiment is planned to be completed in 2016.

As part of the upgrade, the aircraft’s existing in-flight entertainment (IFE) platform will be integrated with new seats. Airbus’ Customer Services division will perform the overall cabin reconfiguration design, certification and will also supply the new business class seats as selected by Oman Air.

Oman Air Chief Executive Officer Paul Gregorowitsch commented: “We look forward to offering our passengers the very latest Oman Air cabin brand across our full A330 fleet and we are sure that Airbus will deliver on-time and with the highest quality.” He adds: “This opportunity underlines the significant investments which we are making in our fleet and our commitment to offering the highest standards of comfort and connectivity to our customers.”
