Seminar on best practices in transport and logistics tomorrow

A seminar on ‘Best practices in transport and logistics – Case studies from Europe and USA’ by highly recognised global expert Prof. Jacek Zak will be held on Wednesday 4 May from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Kingsbury Hotel.

The event is organised by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in collaboration with the University of Moratuwa, Department DFT-12-05of Transport and Logistics Management, Faculty of Engineering.

Prof. Zak is a highly recognised international expert in transportation, logistics and operations management counting over 25 years experience. He has been a board member in around 50 leading companies including IKEA Poland, Volkswagen Poland, Alcatel Teletra, Poland, Lanahan USA, Triad Direct USA and CalTrans USA. He participated as a leader in around 100 national and 50 international consulting projects concerning transport and logistics issues. He has developed around 20 training programs in logistics management and 50 customised in-house company training programs worldwide, primarily focused on transportation, logistics and operations management. He was twice honoured with the Fulbright Fellowships. He is also an alumnus of Harvard, MIT, UC Berkeley and Stanford.

The seminar will be useful for business leaders, consultants, managers and executives in transport, logistics and supply chain management.
