SLFFA welcomes Single Window concept

Sri Lanka Logistics and Freight Forwarders Association (SLFFA) Chairperson Tania Polonnowita Wettimuny said that SLFFA welcomes and wholeheartedly supports the ‘Single Window’ concept launched recently in Sri Lanka for the first time on the direction of Minister of Finance Ravi Karunannayake, together with Sri Lanka Customs. 

SLFFA appreciates the initiative taken by the Minister of Finance which will give the much needed boost to the ‘Maritime Hub’ concept, which the Government is keen to promote. 

She further said that SLFFA greatly appreciates the efforts taken by Sri Lanka Customs under the direction of Director General of Customs Chulananda Perera, to implement this new and innovative concept which will immensely help the logistics industry as a whole to move to a higher level on ‘Ease of doing business’ in Sri Lanka. It will also attract the foreign investors to invest in Sri Lanka with much confidence, which is the key to economic growth of this country.
