Thai Airways’ first Airbus A350 XWB on schedule for Q3 2016 delivery

The first A350 XWB for Thai Airways International has rolled out from cabin furnishing and engine installation at the Airbus Toulouse Final Assembly Line in France.

Thai Airways’ A350 XWB will offer a two-class service. The 32 180-degree flat Royal Silk Class seats, with a width of 21 inches, are arranged four abreast in a 1-2-1 configuration, while the 289 Economy Class seats are arranged nine abreast in a 3-3-3 configuration and have a 32-inch pitch and 18-inch width.

The A350 XWB features a carbon fiber fuselage and wings as well as Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines.

Firm orders from carriers in the Asia Pacific region total 267, representing over a third of total sales for the A350 XWB to date.

The first A350-900 for Thai Airways is scheduled for delivery in Q3 2016.
