Zim announces GRI, peak season surcharge

ZIM has announced a General Rate Increase (GRI) effective from September 1st.  2011, in Asia Europe and Europe-West Africa trades. For Asia and Indian sub-continent to Europe, Mediterranean and Black Sea it will be US$225/TEU

South Bound from North Europe to West Africa – €110/20’ and €200/40'

South Bound from the UK to West Africa - GBP100/20' and GBP175/40’

Zim said the revision was necessary in order to maintain its current levels of service and high reliability.

The line also announced a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) of $200/TEU from September 1 in the Asia – Israel trade.
