ZIM to improve its Asia-Europe Services: new calls in Qingdao and Xiamen

In order to improve its services between Asia and Europe, ZIM is introducing the following changes to its East Med Express Service (EMX) and Asia-Med Europe Service (AME), which will come into effect at the end of December.  

EMX Service: as from 29th December, 2010, this service will start calling Qingdao, one of the fastest-growing ports in northern China.  The new rotation of EMX service is as follows:



Qingdao-Pusan-Shanghai-Ningbo-Da Chan Bay – Port Kelang- Colombo- Suez-Haifa- Ashdod-Kumport-Novorossiysk- Constantza- Kumport-Haifa-Suez-Nhava Sheva-Colombo-Port Kelang-Qingdao

AME Service: as from 27th December, 2010, this service will start calling Xiamen port on its eastbound leg.

 This new direct call is aimed at catering for customers’ needs and to better serve the eastbound cargo to China. The AME service’s adjusted rotation is as follows:

Shanghai-Da Chan Bay–Ho Chi Min- Port Kelang- Nhava Sheva-Haifa-Ashdod-Felixtow-Antwerpen- Hamburg- Alexandria-Limassol-Haifa-Ashdod-Suez-Port Kelang-Xiamen-Shanghai  

The changes are part of Zim’s ongoing efforts made in order to respond to market demands and to improve service to customers.
