ZIM ups Asia-South America East Coast GRI

Zim has announced a general rate increase effective 1 August, 2011 in the Asia-South America East Coast trade, as follows: $600 per 20’ container (all types) and $1200 per 40’container (all container types including Hi-Cube).

“The rate increase is necessary in view of market conditions and current unsustainable rate levels, and in order to continue to operate our services with the current high levels of reliability and service to customers,” ZIM said.
