The ‘Top 50’ Professional and Career Women Awards 2018, organised by Women in Management (WIM) and IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, was held last week under the patronage of Speaker Karu Jayasuriya as the Chief Guest. The Keynote was delivered by Australia’s Ambassador for Women and Girls Dr. Sharman Stone. It was the eighth edition of this prestigious awards program to ensure that only the best candidates from civil society and the private and public sectors are highlighted for their contributions towards taking Sri Lankan women to the world. The panel for the ‘Top 50’ Professional and Career Women Awards 2018 consisted of Turner Investment L.P Country Director Dr. Rohantha Athukorala, IFC Country Manager for Sri Lanka and Maldives Amena Arif, Hemas Pharmaceutical Ltd./Surgical & Diagnostics Ltd. Managing Director Kasturi Chellaraja Wilson, John Keells Holdings Executive Vice President/Chief Marketing Officer – Property Group Roshanie Jayasundera-Moraes, Singer Sri Lanka Director – Marketing Kumar Samarasinghe, MAS Holdings Group Director – Legal Rajitha Jayasuriya, Daily FT Editor Nisthar Cassim, Sun Match Company Executive Director/CMO Gowri Rajan and Attorney General’s Department Additional Solicitor General Dilruskhi Dias Wickramasinghe PC.
