Amãna Bank declares October as Senior Citizen Savings Month

As a mark of respect for Senior Citizens of the country, Amãna Bank has declared the month of October as the Senior Citizen Savings Month coinciding with ‘World Elders Day’ which falls on 1 October. A special promotion will be conducted during the month in order to encourage Senior Citizens to establish a savings discipline while special gifts and benefits are to be offered upon opening of new accounts. Speaking on this initiative the Bank’s Vice President Consumer Banking and Strategic Marketing Siddeeque Akbar said: “The intention of the Senior Citizen Savings Month is to pay tribute to the senior citizens of the country who have toiled hard over the years and now deserve to spend their retirement with peace of mind managing their own finances and resources.” Senior Citizen Savings and Term Investment account holders will benefit from a higher profit sharing ratio as well as other compliments.
