Cinnamon Wild, with open boundaries to the surrounding wildlife, spreads across 10 acres and features 68 chalets. It is designed to represent rustic luxury resembling an international game lodge found in Africa.
The wide open lobby of Cinnamon Wild overlooks the pool area and its ceilings showcase beautiful batiks by Ena de Silva. The 2011 redesign was done by the group’s Corporate Architect, Channa Daswatte.
Cinnamon stick screens and tables and large lamps resembling birds’ nests enhance the appearance of the lobby area, which also features a floor of concrete slabs resembling railways sleepers, while the pool is the central focus. The photo wall in the reception area captures the true spirit of the wild and commands attention, boasting stunning images of leopards and other wildlife.
The chalets feature earthy interiors with a camp look and feel.
Cinnamon Wild has three lounges, a main restaurant and three bars. The buffet at the restaurant isn’t extensive, with the focus being quality over quantity. The restaurant is located on the first floor of the main building, which is surrounded by an extensive dining deck, while right on top is the pièce de résistance – a roof top observation deck and bar, offering a 360 degree view of the surrounding wilderness.
