Kanrich Finance joined hands with the Lions Club of Maharagama Golden City and the Sri Sumana Young Buddhist Association to celebrate International Women’s Day by conducting a blood donation program at the Kohuwala Wijayamangalaramaya. Main sponsor of this event was Kanrich Finance and the event was great a success with the guidance of Kanrich CEO Shiran Weerasinghe and the top management.
During the event, nutritious dry rations were distributed amongst a large number of expectant mothers while a seminar named ‘Preventing Juvenile Delinquency’ focusing on safeguarding children was carried out by renowned speaker Colin Ariyaratne. During this seminar, the female audience was informed about the dangers posed to children’s security and safety in today’s society and how they can be protected from such threats by providing them with necessary love and proper attention. The seminar was attended by a large number of females from different religious backgrounds and walks of life thereby ensuring that it was a resounding success. The program received very positive feedback from all participants as it touched upon a crucial topic that is relevant to all mothers in today’s fast-changing society. The blood donation program was carried out to commemorate the death anniversary of Ven. Diyapaththugama Sumana Thero. In parallel to this, an eye clinic was also organised where eye tests were performed and free spectacles distributed among residents of varying age groups in the area. Representing the top management of Kanrich Finance at this social service project was Executive Director Dr. K.M.S.B. Rekogama, General Manager (Credit and Recoveries) Aloka Wahalawatte and General Manager (Marketing) Eranda Amal Godage. Opposition Leader of the Council and the Dehiwela United National Party Organiser Sunethra Ranasinghe, President of Lions Club of Maharagama Golden City and Dr. Prema Sri Hewawasam, Governor, District 306.C 2 and fellow Lions were also present at the occasion. As a sustaining brand in finance industry with 45 years of excellence in service, Kanrich Finance has gathered lot of community involvement for this project.
