Home Lands Group wins Platinum at CIOB Green Awards 2024

Home Lands Group of Companies, the undisputed leader in Sri Lanka’s real estate & property development has clinched the Platinum Award at the recently concluded CIOB Green Awards 2024, further solidifying its commitment towards sustainability. The Group’s flagship apartment and housing development, Canterbury Golf Resort Apartments & Residencies in Piliyandala was the award-winning project in the products and systems category. The coveted award was presented to Home Lands Group at the CIOB Green Awards night held on 10th August at Taj Samudra Hotel, Colombo.

The award also acknowledges the outstanding accomplishments in green construction initiatives and prioritizing green concepts in construction. The CIOB Awards organized by the Ceylon Institute of Builders (CIOB) recognizes exceptional leadership towards sustainability in Sri Lankan construction industry. The awards are presented to individuals, organizations, products/systems that have demonstrated outstanding innovation in advancing sustainability.

The award-winning project, Canterbury Golf Resort Apartments & Residencies is the largest residential development in Sri Lanka comprising of over 1200 apartments and housing units. A standout feature of this project is its sustainability focus, with only 20% of the land used for construction, leaving the remaining 80% untouched. 

The project focuses on preserving the natural beauty of the surrounding whilst creating a highly livable environment with world-class facilities.
