10th Beach Volleyball Championships on 11 February

The final event in the multi-sports Travel Trade Sports Club’s events calendar 2016, the 10th Beach Volleyball Championships 2016, sponsored by Mt. Lavinia Hotel Group and hosted by Club Bentota for the fifth successive year will be held on Saturday 11 February at Club Bentota’s Paradise Island Beach, Aluthgama from 8:30 a.m. onwards. 

Entries have been called from the TTSC Membership and will close on Friday, 3 February 3 p.m. with the General Secretary/TTSC, Anushka Perera, C/o. Connaissance de Ceylan, ‘Le Cube,’ 130 High Level Road, Kirulopane, Colombo 5. 

In the previous tournament held at the same venue on 6 February 2016 in the Club Bentota “Cup” Championship Final, its “A” team beat its “B” team; SriLankan Airlines “A” won the “Plate” Championship beating Club Bentota “C” team; SriLankan Airlines “B” took the “Bowl” by beating Bentota Beach Hotel. 

Thus, TTSC brings down the curtain on its 40th anniversary completing 11 events, previously conducting carom, archery, bowling, soccer, badminton, softball and hardball cricket, pool, beach tag rugby and the swimming tournaments.
