The 11th MSBA-Ram Ratnavale Memorial Challenge Trophy Knock-out Basketball Tournament 2016 continued at the Henry Pedris Sports Complex, last Friday and again on Monday.

Mens “B” division: MAS Holdings “Red” advanced to the Final with a comprehensive 53/37 win over Sri Lankan Airlines, after leading 25/17 at half time.

Top Scorers: E. Weerasinghe (15), V.S. Sundaralingam (15) and A. Alphonsus (10) for the winners; A. Jayakody (10) and L. Rajapaksa (07) for the losers. 

Mens “D” division: MAS Holdings “Black” advanced to the Final, with a hard fought 39/30 win over Hirdaramani Industries, after leading 21/19 at the breather.

Top scorers: M. Fernando (10), H. Kavisha (07) and M. Jawad (06) for the Winners; S. Angelo (08) and O. Kannangara (07) for the losers. 

Mens “E” division: Debutants, Union Bank made good progress, as they advanced to the Semi-Finals with a crushing 66/31 win over IFS R&D, after holding a 40/8 lead at the lemons. 

Top Scorers: D. Wijendra (16), T. Clifford (15) and H. Wijeratne (10) for the winners; W. Nadun (17) and B. Wasala (06) for the losers.

Earlier on, HNB advanced to the Final of Womens “A” division, beating Seylan Bank 62/42 ; and Softlogic Holdings, advanced to Mens “D” division Final beating Standard Chartered Bank 55/54.
