12-year drought comes to an end for the Thomians at 140th Battle of the Blues

S. Thomas’ College Mt. Lavinia retake the prestigious D.S. Senanayake Memorial Shield at the 140th Battle of the Blues, powered by Dialog. The school by the sea brought much-awaited closure to a 12-year drought by beating the boys from Reid Avenue by seven wickets. 

S. Thomas’ College skipper Sithara Hapuhinna received the Senanayake Memorial Challenge Shield from Royal College Principal B.A. Abeyrathna, (partially covered) S. Thomas’ College Warden Rev. Marc Billimoria and Axiata Group BhD Corporate Executive Vice President and Regional Chief Executive South Asia and Dialog Axiata PLC Director Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya.
