12th Commander’s Cup Golf tees off tomorrow

The 12th Commander’s Cup Golf Tournament 2025, premier event in the golfing calendar, will be held at the Air Force Eagles’ Golf Links and Courses (AFEGLC), which will be hosted by the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) at China Bay on 18 January.

Tee off is at 6:30 a.m.

Already more than 100 golfers registered for this event which includes 20 overseas participants as well. Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, the former Anandian who is also a keen golfer will grace the occasion.

The Eagles’ Challenge Trophy, which will be accorded to the top performer among serving members of the armed services, will be up for grabs in addition to the major trophy among the tri-forces golfers (both male and female). These distinguished trophies, along with other titles and accolades, will be awarded during the Awards Ceremony Night, which will be held same night with the Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa gracing the occasion.

The tournament will be powered by Dialog Enterprise, which is honoured to continue as the Main Exclusive Sponsor for the fifth consecutive year, displaying its attentiveness to advancing the sport of golf in the country.
