15th Inter Stock Broker Six-A-Side Cricket Tournament a spectacular success

The 15th Inter Stock Broker Six-A-Side Cricket Tournament concluded in grand style, marking a memorable return after a nine-year lapse.

Organised by the Colombo Stock Brokers Association (CSBA), the tournament brought together all broking firms, alongside a team from the Colombo Stock Exchange, for a day filled with thrilling cricket, camaraderie, and entertainment.

Held at the Thurstan Grounds, Colombo 07, the tournament drew over 1,000 participants and their families, making it one of the biggest industry sporting events in recent years. Adding to the excitement was a carnival atmosphere, featuring fun activities, live entertainment, and a spectacular drone show, where the main championship trophy was dramatically displayed airborne.

The Championship Trophy was claimed by SC Securities, whose team members also dominated the individual awards: Best Batsman – Subash Perera – SC Securities; Man of the Match – Marlon Fernando – SC Securities and Best Female Player – Tharushi Dewthmika – SC Securities.

The Runners-Up were Capital Trust Securities, putting up a fierce fight in the finals. Meanwhile, the Plate Championship was secured by Capital Alliance Securities, showcasing impressive performances throughout the tournament.

Other individual awards included: Best Bowler – Sahan Perera – HNB Stockbrokers and Man of the Series – Rakesh Sharma – Capital Trust Securities.
