The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF)-organised Air Force Open Squash Tournament will commence today (18 November) and continue till 26 November at the Air Force Squash Complex, SLAF Base Ratmalana.
This is the 16th year in running for this tournament.
The tournament has attracted over 450 entries and will feature all top and novice junior players in the country in the age segments Under 9, 11, 13, 15, 17 and 19, Girls’ and Boys’, and also all top-ranking senior players in the country, including tri-forces, under the segments of Men’s, Women’s Opens, Men’s and Women’s Novices, Men’s Over 35, 40, 45, 50, and 55. This year’s tournament will see players from India and Pakistan also taking part.
The Air Chief Marshal P.H. Mendis Challenge Trophy for the Best Men’s and Air Chief Marshal Harry Goonetileke Memorial Trophy for the Best Women’s Open segments will be on offer.
