18 teams compete at Sri Lankasports.com Inter-Company Netball Championship

Eighteen teams representing prestigious institutions in Sri Lanka will vie for honours at the Sri Lankasports.com Netball Challenge 2015 which begins on 17 October at the Indoor Stadium at St. Joseph’s College, Colombo 10.

www.srilankasports.com will be organising the event while technical assistance will be receive from the Academy of Netball – Kotte. This event has been sanctioned by the Netball Federation of Sri Lanka and the Mercantile Netball Association.

Twelve teams will compete in the women’s category and six teams will take part in the mixed division category.

Hatton National Bank, Seylan Bank, Nations Trust Bank, National Development Bank, Commercial Bank, Pan Asia Bank, David Peiris Motor Company, LB Finance, AIA Insurance, Kanrich Finance and Explore Holdings will battle for honours in the general event while Hatton National Bank, Seylan Bank, Nations Trust Bank, National Development Bank, David Peiris Motor Company, LB Finance and Kanrich Finance will compete in the mixed category.

The entire event will be played in a seven-a-side rugby format and played for cup, plate and bowl championships.

SriLankasports.com inaugurated the Inter-Company Netball Tournament in 2006 and conducted it for four consecutive years with the participation of top companies in the corporate sector.
