18 teams to compete in 40 over MCA Masters Sixes

18 teams have consented to participate in the MCA Masters (O-40) Six-a-side Cricket Tournament 2019 to be held on Sunday at the MCA and D.S. Senanayake College grounds, commencing at 8.30 a.m.

The tournament, which was earlier scheduled to be held on 28 April, was postponed due to the ‘Easter Terror’.

Fairfirst Insurance will be there to defend the title, along with the 2018 runners-up HNB ‘A’ team. 

The rest are: HNB ‘B’, Hayleys Group, Colombo Dockyard, John Keells Group, Deutsche Bank AG, Commercial Bank, Sri Lankan Airlines, Singer Sri Lanka PLC, NDB Bank, Sampath Bank, Associated Motorways, Allianz Insurance, Airport & Aviation, Sri Lanka Telecom, The Finance Co. and MAS Unichela.

The tournament will be conducted on the same lines of the Hong Kong International ‘Sixes’. 

The five Special Awards on offer are for the Best Batsman, Bowler, Man of the Tournament, Man of the Final and the Most Senior Player.
