1962 Old Royalists meet to celebrate

Members of the ASSOCIATION OF OLD ROYALISTS’ 1962 GROUP [including family members] are scheduled to meet during 26/27 March Weekend at Bentota Beach to celebrate their attaining Senior Citizenship. Students who entered Form I at Royal in 1962 and others who joined this batch of students later on [viz. at GCE(OL) and GCE(AL)] during their career at Royal are reaching 60 years of age during the period between 01 July 2010 and 30 June 2011. Furthermore, these Old Royalists are eagerly waiting to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of their entering Royal College which would be in January 2012.

Several overseas-resident members of this Royal Group are scheduled to fly in for this occasion. The issuance of a souvenir Tee shirt and a Cap are also in the queue of many further celebrations. Former teachers of Royal [1962-1969] who were the Pioneer Swabhasha Teachers at Royal when the medium of instruction changed to Sinhala/Tamil in the year 1961 at Form I  Level, will grace the occasion as Guests of Honour.
