Hutch has introduced another exciting new Value Added Service (VAS), bringing live updates on the Rugby World Cup currently underway in New Zealand. Scores and updates can easily be accessed by simply dialling 555 from any Hutch number.

Updates by IRB Educator and Former Asian Top Panel Referee Dilroy Fernando, along with pre and post match interpretations on games that have just concluded are only a dial away with this innovative service by Hutch. The World Cup timetable, best-players, latest scores, match schedules and summaries, team details, former and recent records are also readily available for Hutch rugby fans across the island.

“Value addition to our existing services is a very important aspect of the Hutch corporate culture and our VAS team is constantly looking for ways to enhance customer experiences. Before this particular service was launched, Hutch created value for the Esala Perahara, Nallur Festival, Katharagma Perahara, and Ramazanby sending out specifics of these religious activities, such as festival commencement times, important perahara facts, prayer and Ifthar times as well as a caller tune for that specific event or festival,” stated Arul Vaz, Head of Roaming and VAS.

He added that customers today are extremely tech-savvy and services such as 555 allow them to be leaders amongst their peers. “We are very excited as the response from our customers has been more than encouraging.

This motivates us to continue to explore new ideas and innovative services to offer Hutch customers,” said Vaz.
