2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifier: SL Football team off to Turkmenistan

Sri Lanka Football team led by Mohamed Fazal left to Turkmenistan in order to play the home team at the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifier – AFC 2nd Round encounter which will take place today at the Kopetdag Stadium in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.

Regular skipper, Kavindu Ishan will be out due to a dislocated shoulder. This injury was caused to him during the South Korean encounter which was played recently. Mohamed Fazal will lead the outfit on tour with Sujan Perera as his deputy.

The team comprises Mohamed Fazal (Capt.), Sujan Perera (Vice Capt.), Mohamed Ishan, Charitha Rathnayake, Duckson Piuslas, Mariyathas Nitharshan, Harsha Fernando, Jude Suman, Sasanka Dilhara, Mohamed Aakib, Mohamed Musthaq, Suntharaj Niresh, Chalana Chameera, Khalid Azmil, Madushan De Silva, Dilip Peiris, Naveen Jude, Chathura Lakshan, Chamod Dilshan, Aman Faizer, Nuwan Gimhana, Manaram Perera and Wazeem Razik.
