27th Singer-MCA Premier League Knockout Tournament 2020 semi-finals

John Keells and MAS Unichela will be looking for sweet revenge over LB Finance and Sampath Bank respectively when they meet each other in the 27th Singer-MCA Premier League Knockout Tournament 2020 semi-finals.

In their league outing, LB Finance demolished John Keells by 10 wickets on 17 October at the BRC Grounds; Sampath Bank beat MAS Unichela by four wickets on 7 November at the P. Sara Oval.

So far in the knockout, John Keells beat SLC U-19 Team by 48 runs on the D&L (match reduced to 37 overs a side due to wet grounds conditions); MAS Unichela scored a comfortable four-wicket win over Hayleys with 24 overs to spare; Sampath Bank scored comprehensive five wickets win over last year’s runners-up Dimo with 20 overs to spare.

The first semi-final between the league winner LB Finance and John Keells will take place on Tuesday 19 November at MCA; and the second semi-final between Sampath Bank and MAS Unichela will be played on Wednesday 20 November at the NCC Grounds. 

Last season, MAS Silueta won the knockout title, beating Dimo by 165 runs in the final. This season’s final is scheduled for Saturday 23 November at the MCA Grounds.
