The Annual Etisalat Golf Classic is back again this year and rearing to Tee-Off on the 29 July. The Event will see the Etisalat Elite Club and Royal Colombo Golf Club members swing it out on the greens of the RCGC for an all-inclusive trip to play three rounds at the Spectacular Abu Dhabi Golf Club.
This year will mark the second outing of this tournament open to all members of the Etisalat Elite Club and all RCGC members. The Etisalat Elite Club, formed in 2010 following the culmination of the last Etisalat Golf Classic, was an initiative to reward and encourage brand loyalty. To be eligible for Elite Club membership, Etisalat customers need to be members of the RCGC and maintain a high minimum usage rate each month on their phones.
The Grand Prize will be presented to an Etisalat Elite Club member with the best nett score at the end of the tournament.
The Gentleman’s section grand prize is an all-expenses paid trip to Abu Dhabi flying business class, including Airport transfers and transport, and accommodation at a Five Star Hotel for both the winner and a friend.
The lucky pair of golfers will also have the opportunity to play three rounds on the greens of the spectacular Abu Dhabi Golf Club and attend the Abu Dhabi Open, International Golf Tournament.
The Grand Prize winner in the Ladies’ section will receive a return air ticket to Dubai flying business class. The tournament will be contested in many divisions including; A to C, Masters and Seniors. The Ladies Bronze and Silver divisions will also compete, as will the Sri Lanka Pool Players. The winners in these divisions will be given other prizes, the total value of which will amount to over half a million Rupees.
Speaking about the upcoming tournament, Etisalat CEO Dumindra Ratnayake said, “Etisalat has always supported sports within the Sri Lankan arena.
The sport of golf, with its emphasis on skill, precision, competitiveness and self-perfection, is one we are proud to promote, as we value these principles too in our corporate culture.” He further added that Etisalat valued its customer loyalty saying, “We formed the Etisalat Elite Club to reward our customers because we wanted to express our appreciation for the loyalty they have shown our brand, and their continued use of our services.”
The two day Tournament will culminate in an award ceremony on the 30 July, at the RCGC, amidst diversions of entertainment and cocktails.
