The second annual ‘Chamber Cricket Championship 2015’, organised by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce will be held on 10 October at the Colombo Colts Cricket Club, with the participation of 36 teams.

The six-a-side tournament, which was initially held during the year 2014, primarily aims to attract teams representing the local corporate sector. The 36 teams will be divided into four groups with each group consisting of nine teams.

Teams in each group will play eight matches and the top two teams in each group will go into the quarter-finals and progress from there onwards.

Apart from awarding the Champions and the Runners Up of the tournament, the organisers have also planned to award the ‘Best Player’, ‘Best Bowler’, ‘Best Batsmen’ and the ‘Best Female Player’ of the tournament.

Each team can have six playing members for a match and it is mandatory for each team to also have a female player in the playing six.

The draw and the briefing session for the captains of the teams taking part in the tournament were held at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce on Friday, 2  October. The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce would like to invite the cricket lovers to come and witness the tournament.
