40th Sri Richard Aluvihara Trophy: Close call between the two top sides

The 40th limited overs encounter between Trinity College and St. Anthony’s College will take place today at the Asgiriya Stadium.

Trinity is led by Akram Muthalib and coached by Naveen Ekanayake while the Antonians are led by Chamidu Wickremasinghe and coached by Suneth Gunathilake. Out of the 39 encounters played so far Trinity lead the tally with 18 to Antonians 17 wins while one game ended in a tie and three in no decision due to rain.

Abishek holds the record for the best bowling taking 6 for 23 in 2019 while Marlon von Hagt was a nightmare for the Trinitians scoring at will and his highest being a cracking 139 at Katugastota in 1983.
