67th Mercantile Open Table Tennis Championship 2023

The 67th Mercantile Open Table Tennis Championship 2023 held on 7 and 8 July at the Indoor Stadium, S. Thomas’ College, Mt. Lavinia, witnessed an exceptional display of talent, with Supuna Warusawithana (99X Technology) and Erandi Warusawithana (Raigam Marketing Services) making history as dominant siblings, showcasing their outstanding skills and sportsmanship.

The Event Champions were Men’s Open Singles: Supuna Warusawithana (99X Technology);

Women’s Open Singles: Erandi Warusawithana (Raigam Marketing Services); Men’s Doubles: Nirmala Jayasinghe (MAS)/Prasad de Silva (Emjay International); Women’s Doubles: Erandi Warusawithana (Raigam Marketing Services)/Dewmini Weerasena (HNB); Men’s Novices: Dewram Galgamuwa (Sysco Labs); Women’s Novices: Dewmini Weerasena (HNB); Mix Doubles: Supuna Warusawithana (99X Technology)/Erandi Warusawithana (Raigam Marketing Services); Masters Men’s: Nirmala Jayasinghe (MAS); Masters Women’s: Kalpani Herath (MAS) and Veteran’s Men’s Singles: Samith Prasad (Hayleys PLC).

Chief Guests at the awards ceremony were Hela Apparel Holdings Chairman A.R. Rasiah, Chairman and Veterans Table Tennis Association of Sri Lanka President Mohamed Laffeer.
