8th AGM of Olcott Sports Foundation held at OPA

The Eighth Annual General meeting of ‘Colonel Henry Steele Olcott Memorial Sports Foundation’ (CHSOMSF) was held recently at the Organization of Professional Associations of Sri Lanka (OPA) and appointed Upul Sumathipala of Mahinda College as the President, S.B. Herath of Dharmaraja College as the Secretary and Gamini Swarnapala of Maliyadeva College as the Treasurer of the organisation.

The CHOMSF was formed in January 1996 under the leadership of M/S Bandula Warnapura and Jayantha Seneviratne of Nalanda, Asoka Pathirane of Maliyadeva, Upul Sumathipala of Mahinda, D.M. Dharmathilake of Dharmaraja, Palitha Gunasekera and Kumar Weerasuriya of Ananda, T.K. Palitha and Donald Perera of Dharmapala, Daya Ramanayake of Rahula and Lal Ranasinghe of Dharmasoka representing the leading eight Olcott schools.

At present, the CHOMSF is conducting various annual events to meet its objectives such as the cricket tournament, Relay Carnival, badminton tournament, table tennis tournaments, quiz competition among Olcott and invited schools, and they conduct ‘Leadership Development Programs’ for selected school children etc.
