The Ace Capital Cricket Club (ACCC) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 29 March at the Grand Monarch Hotel in Thalawathugoda.
The meeting commenced at 6:30 p.m. and was attended by members of the club. ACCC President Dr. Priyantha B. Wickrama chaired the session, with General Secretary Nalin Aponso assisting the facilitation of the event.
During the AGM, the appointment of the new Executive Committee members was officially confirmed. Dr. Priyantha B. Wickrama was reappointed as President, and Nalin Aponso continued his role as General Secretary. Additionally, the club announced the appointments of Eranga Ranathunga and Imal Kaluthotage, both as Senior Vice Presidents. Their leadership and expertise will significantly contribute to the club’s growth and operations.
A key focus of the meeting was the approval of amendments to the club’s constitution, which included the expansion of the Executive Committee from 15 to 23 members. This decision was made to bring in more highly skilled professionals to the club, ensuring the leadership structure is further strengthened and enabling the club to operate with greater efficiency and expertise. The newly appointed committee members pledged their commitment to the growth and development of the club.
Furthermore, the annual audited accounts for the year ending 31 December 2024 were presented and unanimously approved by the members. The reappointment of TR Associates, Chartered Accountants, as the official auditors for the club was also confirmed for the upcoming year. With these appointments and the constitutional amendments, the total membership of the club now stands at 115. The meeting concluded with a reaffirmed commitment to maintaining professionalism and high standards at the club. Dr. Wickrama emphasised the importance of unity, teamwork, and the shared vision for the club’s continued success and growth.
