The 15-member Afghanistan cricket team led by Hashmatullah Shahidi arrived in Sri Lanka on Tuesday night to play a three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka from next month.

Four members of the team Rashid Khan, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Noor Ahmed and Fazalhaq Farooqi will arrive later as they are currently involved in the ongoing IPL tournament in India.

The three ODI’s which are part of Sri Lanka’s preparations for the ICC World Cup qualifiers in Zimbabwe next month will be played at Hambantota on 2, 4 and 7 June as day games.
