Ahalya and Amrith to defend title

Victoria Golf and Country Resort (VGCR) will hold its 2022 Club Championship at their club course in Rajawella today and tomorrow.

Tee-off will be at 7 a.m. both days.

The Club Championship will be worked off in 36-hole stroke play (gross and net) in Stableford format. 

Senior event will be on day one only. More than 70 entries were registered for 2022 event.

Ever green golfer, Ahalya Rajan will defend her title which she won at the last event in 2018. Meanwhile Amrith de Soysa will defend the Gents title. 

The last Club Championship took place at VGCR in 2018.

In the Nett Ladies Louise Huxtable will defend her title while youngster, Haroon Aslam who won the Nett is away in USA for studies and golf will miss this event this year.

JK Holdings PLC will sponsor the event.
