Police Sports Club secures 7s championship after 35 years

triumphant Wesley Under-16 celebrate

The Police Sports Club shocked the much-fancied CR & FC 19/12 at the Sports Fiesta and Air Force Commander’s Cup Rugby Tournament for clubs, which was worked off at the Race Course ground last weekend.

CH & FC accounted for the Plate, while Police SC B won the Bowl.

Meanwhile, in the Under-16 Schools 10-a-side encounter, Wesley outclassed Isipathana 15/0 to become champions. Zahirians won the Plate, while the Thomians did not return home empty-handed as they secured the Bowl.

In the women’s segment, it was the Sailors who became champions.
