Air Force winger Darshana Dabare on a powerful move
Sri Lanka Air Force edged out debutants, Sri Lions by 29 points (5 tries, 2 conversions) to 27 points (4 tries, 2 conversions, 1 penalty) not only won their Inter Club rugby league encounter which concluded at Ratmalana but also kept their Cup segment Super round feature intact last weekend.
At the short breather Air Force led 17/8.
Air Force scored their tries through Shamika Kaushan (3), Shashika Fernando and Nishan Pieris.
Gayantha Iddamalgoda and Pramod Pathmasanka converted one each.
For Sri Lions SC their tries were scored by Prasad Madusanka, Nizran Mohamed, Imanka Ariyapala and Dulaj Nawodya. Chanaka Chandimal was successful in 2 of the conversions while he also put over a solitary penalty.
