Dilrukshi Perera another medal hope in the Indian event later this month

A total of 111 swimmers have been named for the 3rd South Asian Aquatic Championship 2019 which is scheduled to be held in Bangalore, India from 22–28 January.

A total of 25 male and 25 female swimmers have been selected to tour Bangalore in January by the Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union. All swimmers placed 1st and 2nd were taken into consideration for the selections. Commonwealth Games 2018-Gold Coast representatives Akalanka Peiris (St Peter’s) and Dilrukshi Perera (Hillwood) both were named in the pool.

Girls and Boys Water polo team, Diving Team and Open water team too will be at action in India later this month. (SJ)
