All Island Inter School Under-20 Boys and Girls Hockey Tournament was worked off on day two at four venues in Matale yesterday. Matches were played at Edward Park, Bernard Aluvihare Stadium, Hindu College ground and Thomian ground in Matale yesterday bring interrupted with rain.

The opening day started off with a colourful ceremony but towards the evening heavy rain in the area resulted in few matches being postponed for day two. Day two too was in similar fashion when heavy rain prevented play for almost one hour in the evening hours.

Christ Church had a good start winning both their matches easily. Ananda too were in good form beating Hindu Matale 7/0. But the lads from Matale stormed back late in the evening to hand off newcomers Grindurukotte MV 12/0 which was the highest score for the first two days.
