Veteran golfer Amal Cabraal will defend his title at the 114th Captain’s Cup which will take place on 20-21 March at the Royal Colombo Golf Club. Tee-off is scheduled at 7:30 a.m. on both days.
The Captain’s Cup has been played every year since 1898 with the only interruption being due to World War II, between 1942-47. The Captain’s Cup is time-honoured tradition among members, at the end of which the Captain of the club Navin de Silva, will host a members’ lunch on 21 March. More than 100 golfers are expected to take part in this annual event, which is expected to be a weekend affair at the RCGC.
Stroke Play, Best Aggregate, Net Score, with seniors, ladies and masters segments, will play for honours at the picture postcard RCGC. The winner and runner-up in each segment will walk away with prizes.
