The 4-day tournament will see golfers playing for 72 holes with the Tee off is expected to be at 7.30 a.m.

This tournament boasts an impressive lineup, featuring the top five Sri Lanka’s world amateur ranked players, a rare occurrence that elevates the stakes and the anticipation surrounding the event. Leading the set of players is Reshan Algama who is the top most ranked player in Sri Lanka currently holding a position in the 600’s. He was out at his academic activities and will be all out to perform at his best.

Joining him is Haroon Aslam, a promising talent currently juggling his studies and a burgeoning golf career. Aslam is coming off a significant victory at the Golf Ranking Championship in Rajawella last month, and his form suggests he could be a formidable contender at Nuwara Eliya.

Adding youthful energy and enthusiasm to the mix is Yannik Kumara. Despite his youth, Kumara demonstrated his potential by finishing in fifth place in the last tournament. His performance at Nuwara Eliya will be keenly observed as he aims to climb higher in the rankings. Youngster, Jevahn Sathasivam was recently selected for Scotland tour next month too will be in action. Sixteen-year-old Jacob Norton will make his debut at this event. (SJ)
