Ananda Balika Old Girls hold Annual Netball Tournament

The Old Girls’ Association of Ananda Balika Vidyalaya, Maligakanda, Colombo organised its Annual Netball Tournament among the Old Girls for the 6th consecutive year at the school premises on 4 Sept. Players from four houses Meththa, Karuna, Muditha and Upekkha participated

In the final, Meththa House became the champion and Muditha House became a runners-up for the sixth consecutive year.

Champion House Captain Shiromi Wijerathne received the Champion award from Chief Guest Colombo Municipal Council Sports Department Supervising Sports Officer Yamuna Sandamali and Runners-Up House Captain Ruchira Yapa Abeywardena received an award from Colombo Municipal Council Sports Department Supervising Sports Officer Champa Alvis.

Best Player of the Tournament Meththa House Sandamali Anuththra and Best Shooter Meththa House Shiromi Dilrukshi Sooriyaarachchi received their awards from Ananda Balika Vidyalaya Principal W.B.G. Kumuduni.

Old Girls’ Association Vice Presidents Anuja De Silva and Kanchana Dilrukshi, Secretary Janaranji Liyanage, Asst. Secretary Shakila Rupasinghe and members of the Association were also present.
