Annual Inter-International Schools under-12 football tourney kicks off today

A total of 15 teams will participate in the annual Inter-International Schools (TISSL) boys’ and girls’ under-12 Football Tournament, conducted by the British School in Colombo and which begins at the Moragasmulla Grounds in Rajagiriya today.

The teams competing in the boys’ tournament are Elizebeth Moir, Horizon College, Gateway Kandy, Lyceum Ratnapura, Wycherley, Lyceum Panadura, British School, Colombo International School, Lyceum Nugegoda, Lyceum Wattala, Royal Institute, Stafford International, Overseas College, Gateway Colombo and Colombo International School Kandy.

The teams vying for honours in the girls’ tournament are Elizebeth Moir, Gateway Colombo, Overseas College, Lyceum Panadura, British School and Colombo International School.       

Elizebeth Moir will take on Horizon College in the opening match of the boys’ tournament at 8.30 a.m. while Lyceum Panadura will be up against the British School in the opening match of the girls’ tournament.

The quarter-finals and the semi-finals of the boys’ and girls’ tournament will be played on Tuesday and the finals are scheduled to begin at 11.00 a.m. at the same venue.
