Annual Inter Plantations Rugby Sevens today

Annual Inter Plantation Rugby Sevens will be worked off today for the 19th consecutive year at the Dickoya-Maskeliya Cricket Club grounds in Darrawela.

Kickoff is scheduled at 8:30 a.m.

12 teams will take part in this year’s tournament for the ‘Yara Trophy’– Cup, Plate and Bowl Championships respectively. Each group will consist of 3 teams in 4 groups.

12 regional plantation companies will see Elkaduwa Plantations making their debut in this event.

CIC Fertilizers will sponsor the event. Finlays Tea Estate Chief Executive Officer Dushan Ratwatte will be the Chief Guest at the occasion.
