Former Antonian and Kandy Sports Club crack winger Danushka Dyan was appointed as the skipper for the Sri Lanka Sevens Team for the Asia Rugby Sevens 2019 which will be kicked off in South Korea at the end of the

Danushka Dayan has been appointed skipper for the National Sevens outfit

month.Danushka who is a crack winger is excellent in securing the kick off high ball with much success for the National and Kandy team. 

He never got a permanent position in the Kandy line-up which has a lot of top class players. 

Danushka has been playing for the National Team for nearly five years and is one of the most seniors in the pool of 19 players who are under training with New Zealander Matt Lee heading the coaching unit. 

A touring squad of 12 players will be named on 19 August.

The women’s outfit too are under the watchful eyes of Sudath Sampath who will feature in South Korea, China and Colombo leg events.
